New Year

Hello fit friends!
I took a break that went longer than I thought this holiday break. What with the multiple family parties, the celebration of the New Year and the gifts of (inevitably) chocolate, it can be hard to remember I have a fitness blog, as well as a fitness way of life.
I first want to dispel any guilt the holiday season may have brought you. EVERYONE gains weight over the holidays, myself included. Calm down, this does not mean you are a failure. In fact, it means you are a human being WHICH IS GOOD TO KNOW because I only know how to get humans into shape.
If you are like most people on New Year, you have a resolution, and it is most likely...to lose weight.
Get in line, that's what everyone wants. However I have some bad news, humans do not work by extremes. Our body does not know the difference between Dec. 31st and Jan. 1st. Sorry. What it does know is when we start putting food that helps our bodies function, and when we start to work out. IT WILL BE HARD, but our bodies will get it =) eventually.

So if you want to use pure time as your inspiration go ahead, but you're inspiration should come from yourself and a true want to get fit, not a date on the calendar. GOD SPEED FIT FREAKS!

  1. Is this the Hannah I think it is? I sure hope so lol. Well, last year-good ol' 2011- my resolution (or at least one of them) was to lose weight. I did, surprisingly. This year though I didn't just put "lose weight" on my Resolutions list. Instead, I made it more specific (and no, not by how many pounds I want to lose). I decided I want to try and practice yoga at least once a week. Do you do yoga? I've done it a few times. I liked it.

LOVE that you have a fitness blog! Pretty awesome!

Btw, here's the link to my blog. Check it out? Follow??? Please???? lol

    1. Yay! Hi there Amanda! I AM that Hannah. Also I just started following you! It's awesome! I do yoga as well yes! I do it for stretching and for some strength building and I love being able to conquer a pose-it makes me feel like I accomplished something (which I did!) I have learned quite a bit about yoga physically, mentally and spiritually and I have to say it's a beautiful way of life.
I have learned (physically) that it is not necessarily about getting to a pose that is important but being able to hold that pose for about 5-8 breaths.
